2020 Followers Census Results

Thank you to all 548 participants for joining in this year's census! If you'd like to compare, you can see our previous results here: 2018 and 2019. But without further ado, let's get to the results.

Part One: Demographics

The majority of respondents fall into the 26-30 age bracket, followed closely by the 22-25 age bracket. Here is a complete breakdown of the ranges [ordered by highest percentage of respondents]

1.  Age 26-30: 28.3%
2. Age 22-25: 24.5% 
3. Age 18-21: 14.4%
4. Age 31-35: 13.7%
5. Age 36-45: 11.2%
6. Age 46-55: 4.8%
7. Age 56+: 3.1% 

The overwhelming majority of respondents identity as female at 98.7%. 0.9% of respondents identify as non-binary. 0.2% identify as transmasculine and 0.2% identify as a transgender man.

66.3% of respondents are not married; 33.7% are married. 

76.6% of respondents are not members of the LGBT+ community; 23.4% of respondents are members of the LGBT+ community. 

62.1% of respondents do not discuss fundies with their significant other while 37.9% do.

76.2% of respondents are not parents, while 23.8% are. 

The majority of respondents are from North American and Europe. Here is a complete breakdown by continent [ordered by highest percentage of respondents]

Part Two: Following Fundies

75.5% of respondents most often use their mobile device to view KUWF, and 24.5% most often use a computer. 

59.6% of respondents have a tumblr account while 40.4% do not. 

31.1% of respondents follow 2-3 fundie blogs in addition to KUWF. 23.1% follow 0-1 additional blogs. 21.6% follow 4-6 additional blogs. 10.4% follow 15 or more additional blogs. 9.2% follow 6-10 additional blogs. 4.6% follow 10-14 additional blogs. 

52.9% of respondents have been following fundies for more than 5 years. 23.2% have been following fundies for 1-3 years. 22.1% have been following fundies for 3-5 years. 1.8% have been following for less than one year. 

37.1% of respondents do not consider themselves active on fundie tumblr. 32.1% have been active for 1-3 years. 14.6% have been active for 3-5 years. 8.4% have been active for less than a year. 7.8% have been active for more than 5 years. 

56.6% of respondents watch Counting On; 43.4% do not. 

66.9% of respondents do not watch Bringing Up Bates; 33.1% do.

89.3% of respondents have watched 17/18/19 Kids and Counting. 81.4% have watched any of the early Duggar discovery specials. 53.5% of respondents have watched United Bates of America. 41.4% watched Welcome to Plathville. 5.3% have not watched any of these. 

46.5% of respondents do not follow any fundie instagram accounts. 18.7% follow 10 or more. 13.9% follow 1-3 instagrams. 10.8% follow 4-6 accounts. 10.1% follow 6-10 accounts. 

 74.1% of respondents do not follow any fundie social media accounts. 12% follow 1-3. 7% follow 10 or more. 3.9% follow 4-6 accounts. 3% follow 6-10.
